Yogyakarta – Laboratory of Government Affair and Administration (IP) University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held a Soft Skill Spiritual Leadership Training with the theme “Establishing Leadership Spirituality in Preparing a Superior Generation in the Era of Disruption.” The activity which was participated by 275 IP UMY 2019 students was held on Saturday (10/19/2019) in the Ayola Tasneem Ballroom. The speaker who attended the training this time was Risma Kusumanendra L.D.P., S.IP., a motivator, and CEO of Cristal Indonesia Management, one of the professional career development institutions in Yogyakarta. Head of the UMY IP Study Program, Dr. Muchamad Zaenuri, M.Sc in his speech, said that the Soft Skill Spiritual Leadership Training was intended to improve the leadership abilities of IP UMY students who would later be useful when they entered the workforce. “This soft skills training is very important to be held, many IP UMY alumni have succeeded in the workforce because of the knowledge they gained from soft skills training. This is your first soft skill, and there are still five more soft skills to be held in each semester, “Zaenuri said in his remarks. On the same occasion, UMY IP Laboratory Coordinator, Sakir, S.IP., M.IP., conveyed the importance of seriousness in undergoing lectures at IP UMY. He said that the severity could be seen from the presence of students in the soft skills training that was held. “Friends of new students must be serious in undergoing lectures at IP UMY. Do not let your final semesters be disturbed because of the graduation requirements that have not been met, for example, not participating in soft skills training that has been scheduled, “he said. Acting as a speaker, Risma Kusumanendra L.D.P., S.IP. said that a leader must have a strong spiritual, especially in this era of disruption. “A good leader is a dream that not only has leadership but is also strong spiritually. With this spirit, the leader will have a conscience in leading, “he said. The program which runs from morning to evening is not only filled with motivation about spiritual leadership but also direct practice (through games) about how students become leaders for themselves and leaders for a team.
