KOMAP UMY Held Large Conference in 2019
Yogyakarta – Government Science Student Corps (KOMAP) of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) held a Large Conference of Management of UMAP KOMAP for the period 2018/2019 on Wednesday-Friday (25-27/9/19) in several different places, both on campus and outside campus.
Like the previous preacher’s agenda, several agendas were carried out including the submission of the 2018/2019 KOMAP UMY Board of Directors Responsibility Report and dissemination, discussion of the Statutes / Bylaws, discussion of recommendations, and election of the Chairperson of UMAP KOMAP for the 2019/2020 period.
At the opening of the conference (9/25/19) in the UMY FISIPOL Meeting Room, Sakir, S.IP., M.IP. as the supervisor of KOMAP UMY conveyed his appreciation to the Management of KOMAP UMY for the period 2018/2019 for his service for one period. Mas Sakir, his nickname, also conveyed his message and hopes to the attendees that this conference should be used as a means of improvement for UMAP KOMAP going forward.
“This conference was a means of accountability for the management, if there were mistakes, please criticize and provide a solution for KOMAP UMY going forward. The ambassador was also a media to formulate what KOMAP UMY would look like in the future. Define it well and for the common good, not for the benefit of only one group, “said Mas Sakir in his speech.
On the third day (27/9/19) at the Harmoni Metro Housing Hall, Gamping, the election of the Chairperson of UMAP KOMAP for 2019/2020 was held. There are two chief candidates, namely Ramadhan Dwi Purwanto and Imam Muchammad Ridwan, both of whom are UMY Government Science students of 2017.
After going through a fairly long process, Ramadhan Dwi Purwanto or commonly called Adhan was elected as Chair of the UMY KOMAP 2019/2020. He was elected after successfully getting 28 votes, while Imam got 26 votes.
Towards the end of the conference, Adhan as the elected chairman expressed his hope that in the future he wanted KOMAP UMY to be more united and work well together for the common interest.
“I hope we do not split, KOMAP UMY is not enough with just one head, but one whole body to move it. Therefore friends, I hope that in the future we can all be united in carrying it out, and the results will not only be for me, but for us all, “he concluded.
This year’s Mubes was attended by all UMY KOMAP Management 2018/2019 members, UMAP KOMAP Members and UMAP KOMAP Alumni from various forces. (Bhk)
