Preventing the Spread of COVID-19, IP UMY Postpones Some Activities in March

Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Dr. Ir. Sukamta, S.T., M.T. IPM., Issued a Circular of UMY’s leadership related to preventing the spread of Covid-19 on Saturday (3/14).
The circular contains the following points:
That from 16 to March 21 2020, lectures will be held online accompanied by assignments according to UMY’s online lecture standards.
That starting March 23, 2020, lectures and / or practicums can be carried out as usual offline (face to face in class/laboratory/workshop/workshop) according to UMY academic calendar but must follow UMY health protocols to anticipate the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID- 19).
The implementation of learning professional study programs (Coass) for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences continues to run as usual with the required to follow standard procedures in hospitals/places of professional practice (coass) related to efforts to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) .
Implementation of Practical Work / Internships / Field Work Lectures or other similar activities should be postponed until the COVID-19 issue subsides.
Based on the circular, the Head of the Governmental Science Study Program (IP Study Program) of UMY decided to postpone several study program agendas scheduled to be held this March until conditions were conducive or the COVID-19 issue subsided. The activities in question are Lecture Series, Soft Skill Training, Seminars, and several other activities. (Bhk)
