UMY Lecturers and Students Follow ICONPO 2016 in Thailand

iconpo2016Wednesday, August 10, 2016 – Delegates from the Department of Government Affairs and Administration follow ICONPO VI (International Conference on Public Organization) at Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. The theme of this conference is “Information, Open Government, Democratic Governance, and Public Administration”. The meeting will run for two days on 10-11 August 2016. Conference participants come from various countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and also participants from China, Russia, England, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
ICONPO is an annual event organised by the Asia Pacific Society for Public Affairs (APSPA), in which UMY is one of the founders of APSPA. In ICONPO VI this time the University of Thammasat as a host supported by several other universities in Thailand namely Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University, Mahasarakham University, and Sripatum University.
In addition to several lecturers namely Dr Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc, Dr Titin Purwaningsih, M.Si, Dr Dyah Mutiarin, M.Si, Dr Eko Priyo Purnomo, MA, Awang Darumurti, S.IP, M.Si, Dr Zuly Qodir, M.Si and Anwar Kholid, S.IP. M.Si, Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY also sent six students who participated in presenting papers at the conference. The students are Agustiyara, Alim Bubu Swarga, Aulia Nur Kasiwi, Helen Dian Friday and, Mardha Adhi Pratama and Mia Rosmiati. Participation in international conferences is a routine activity undertaken by the  Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY to improve its network and its work internationally, by the slogan of UMY “Youth in the World”.
