Laboratory of Department of Government Affairs and Administration (IP) UMY Holds Journalistic Training again.

Yogyakarta (18/3) The UMY Laboratory of Department of Government Affairs and Administration held a Soft Skill activity on Journalistic Training. This activity aims to improve Competence in the field of Journalism to UMY Government Science Students. Because journalism cannot be denied, it is very useful to hone the quality of writing good and true news and become a professional journalist.
Held at the KH Ibrahim E6 Building, 5th floor of UMY, this activity was attended by 300 students of the regular and international classes of 2018 Laboratory of Department of Government Affairs and Administration (IGOV). On this occasion, there were two speakers namely the Chairman of the Editorial Board of Radar Jogja Amin Surachmad, S.IKom.I and Responsible for Radar Jogja Online Reren Indranila S.IP.
Head of Government Science Study Program Dr. Muchamad Zaenuri, M.Sc in his speech conveyed that Hard skill and Softskill must be balanced, when the Hard skill government science students are sufficient with the knowledge that has been given in class, then the Softskill must not be elevated, because in the work world Softskill is also a rating point . Therefore, Softskill must be added and reviewed continuously, so that it can meet the needs from time to time.
On the first occasion, Reren Indranila S.IP provided material on procedures and tips for becoming a journalist, and also gave examples of how to interview good and true. Some students are asked to move forward to practice the correct interview method.
Besides Reren Indranila, Amin Surachmad, S.Ikom.I also explained that it was related to the basics of journalism. With journalistic training and bringing in experts, it is hoped that this training will be able to hone students’ abilities in the field of journalism. And students are very enthusiastic about the presence of journalistic training, this is as expressed by Alma, IP 2018
