Bantul – Laboratory of Department of Government Affairs and Administration (IP) UMY held a soft speaking skills training on Tuesday (02/4) in R. Session A.R Fakrudin B Lt.5 UMY. The soft skill training is part of UMY Lab’s IP function. The training which was attended by 250 students was guided directly by Public Speaking Experts Rosa Kusuma Dewi Azhar, S.Pd who was familiar with the greeting of Ocha Tea, which took place enthusiastically.
Ocha tea explains that to be a Great Public Speaker can be done by starting from within yourself, people who work with feeling, and animating what is done and continue to give space to grow/develop. “Becoming a Great Public Speaker requires courage to start from yourself, carried out with feeling and respect, and gives space to continue to grow,” he said.
While the Chairperson of theDepartment of Government Affairs and Administration Dr. Muchamad Zaenuri, M.Sc, explained that soft speaking public speaking training is a mandatory requirement for Government Science Students. This is the result of an FGD between IP UMY and graduates users and IP alumni who convey the importance of public speaking. Because the needs of the workforce today require public speaking skills. “Public speaking is a mandatory requirement for Laboratory of Department of Government Affairs and Administration Students to get a strategic position in the world of work today,” he explained.
