The Government Affairs and Administration Program Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta in cooperation with the Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) held a Workshop on Cooperation Program Discussion. The workshop was held on March 31, 2016, at the Meeting Room of UMY Graduate Director. This workshop is a follow-up of the MoU between LKPP and UMY which was held on March 8, 2016. This Cooperation Agreement is intended to establish cooperation in implementing development, education, training, data and information exchange, and community service on the procurement of goods/services. This is as revealed by Ir. Tatang Rustandar Wiraatmadja, as Director of LKPP Competency Training “The procurement of government goods and services is an activity that requires commitment from the government. Therefore, we cooperate with UMY especially Departement of  Government Affairs and Administration intends to development, education, training, data and information exchange, and community service in the procurement of government goods/services. With the expectation of the future procurement of government services more transparent, “he said.
Procurement of government goods and services in Indonesia is a hazardous activity of corruption. The case of fraud in Indonesia is almost 70% is a case of purchase of government goods and services. Furthermore, with the establishment of Law Number 6 the Year, 2014 on Village, the procurement of government goods and services at the village level is a very tricky thing. This can be an opportunity for even threat village officials in the purchase of goods/services. Therefore, with this cooperation, Prodi Science Government of UMY aims to become the Procurement Information Center of Government Goods and Services in Indonesia. This is as stated by Dr Titin Purwaningsih, S.IP., M.Si, as Chairman of Department of Governmental Science UMY “The Birth of Village Law, demanding the Village Government has competence in implementing procurement of goods/services.
