Social Day 2018: Forming Active Generation to Create Creative Communities

Bantul – Government Affairs and Administration Student Corps (KOMAP) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held a Social Day activity. Participants from the activities held in Jipangan Hamlet, Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul are  Government Affairs and Administration UMY Student force 2018.
The 2018 Social Day carries the theme “Forming an Active Generation to Create Creative Communities”. The purpose of this activity is one of the forms of Tri Dharma in Higher Education by Government Affairs and Administration Student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UMY.
The activity which involved the community and students of Government Affairs and Administration Student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UMY (IP Fisipol UMY) was welcomed and opened directly by the Head of Jipangan Hamlet. In his remarks, the man known as Mr. Suratno advised that Government Affairs and Administration Student UMY should be able to socialize and have a soul to serve the community. “Although many IP UMY students who come from outside Java, it is not a problem to socialize and remain serving the community,” he said.
The series of 2018 Social Day Activities is the holding of a cheap market which contains basic necessities with an Rp. 10,000 price, door prizes, free health checks, socialization and question and answer about government science.
The hope of holding this activity is to increase the sense of caring and socializing the students of Government Affairs and Administration Student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UMY to the community. In addition, the hope is that the community can be helped in terms of economics because the holding of a cheap market is helped in relation to health problems and the community has knowledge related to government science.
