To increase the literasi of information and the ability of write scientific work in order to support the academic atmosphere that holds the Department  of Government Affairs and Administration held Journal Access Training and Scientific Writing on Wednesday, 04 April 2018. This training is one form of cooperation Department  of Government Affairs and Administration Laboratory with UMY center library in the effort improving the quality of publications, reading interests and the task of scientific work of Department  of Government Affairs and Administration UMY students.
The training that took place in Twin Tower building E6 Floor 05 campus of University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta was attended by Chairman of Department  of Government Affairs and Administration UMY. Muchammad Zaenuri, M.Si, Secretary of Department  of Government Affairs and Administration Muhammad Eko Atmojo, S.IP., M.IP and Coordinator of  Government Affairs and Administration Laboratory Sakir S.IP., M.IP. In addition, attending the head of central library UMY accompanied by speakers, among others David Effendi, MA as lecturer IP and Novy Diana Fauzie, MA librarian UMY.
Inaugurating the special training head of the Muhammadiyah University’s library headquarters Lasah, S.H appreciated the existence of this training, this agenda has campaigning various ejournal to improve the quality of information literacy. “We have subscribed to several journals, such as JSTOR has been running for 4 years. We expect students of Department  of Government Affairs and Administration also optimize the ejournal and the national library ebook. The training agenda is divided into two sessions, the first session focuses on training accessing the journal. Novel Diana explains in detail how to access journals from various credible platforms and has become a UMY subscription like google scholar, research national scientific repository, EBSCO, JSTOR Indonesia One Search, moraref and national library. In addition, Novy Diana reminded about information literacy, such as finding accurate writing sources. “Review and filter appropriate journal information. In the next session David Efendi, MA explained the importance of the literature review as part of the research methodology. Looking for research topics that people might not think of, so that the findings will contribute and produce knowledge on political and governmental scholarship. “In the literature review section, we can convince the reader that our research has roots, and deserves to be examined, we relate the origin and genres of the study which we will run.
