In order to improve knowledge and capacity in the world of journalism, Jogja Radar facilitates Department of Government Affairs and Administration Laboratory (Lab. IP), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in holding a Media Visit and Journalistic Workshop.
Housed in the Radar Jogja (10/10) Daily Office, this activity was welcomed directly by the Chairman of the Radar Jogja Bureau Amin Surachmad (Chair of the Editorial Board), Joko Suhendro (Ad Manager), Syukron Arif (Business Manager), and Nanang Febriyanto (Journalist and Person in Charge Online media).
Muhammad Eko Atmojo, S.IP., M.IP in his speech conveyed the purpose of Media Visit activities to the Radar Jogja Daily Office. “The Media Visit activity held by the Lab. IP UMY aims to learn about the journalistic world directly from its experts”, said Secretary of the Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY.
Starting the Media Visit and Workshop activities, Joko Suhendro mentioned that in the millennial era, the news in the form of printed media was still very popular with the public. “Although now is the era of the digital era, there are still many people who prefer to read the news in print rather than online. Because the public thinks that the printed media that has been published has high truth values ​​compared to online media that is very laden with hoaxes”, he said.
Adding to the hoax phenomenon, Syukron gives the input in writing the right news is to have high accuracy and impartiality. “Writing news that is considered first is to be easily understood by the reader, to-the-point, does not cause anxiety for the reader, must be accurate in the truth of the news, and not impartial,” said the Jogja Radar Business Manager.
On the next occasion in giving material about tricks and keys in journalism, Amin Surachmad said that writing news should have a strong appeal so that readers can feel comfortable reading it. “Writing the news must have a strong appeal so that the reader feels comfortable to read it.
