Yogyakarta – University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) through the Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) conducts monitoring and evaluation of Strategic Performance Indicators (IKS) of work units. The UMY Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences Study Program is one of the work units involved in monitoring and evaluation by UMY BPM. Friday (18/1), the Monitoring and Evaluation Team of the UMY Quality Assurance Agency, represented by Emawaliyanti and Nur Azizah, visited the UMY Government Science Study Program to conduct monitoring and evaluation related to unit performance for one semester in the 2018/2019 academic year.
Where the assessor evaluates and identifies the problems of achieving IKS carried out by IP UMY. As stated by Emawaliyanti, “We have found positive results and there are several recommendations related to the achievement of strategic performance indicators.”
The UMY IP Study Program has succeeded in achieving IKS achievements related to the average waiting period for graduates where the waiting period is 4 months. In addition, other positive achievements are that the minimum salary of graduates has exceeded the UMR, the existence of international and national academic forums in accordance with the targets predetermined by the University.
But on the other hand, there are several recommendations for improving the performance of UMY’s IP Study Program. Where the recommendation is related to the number of AEE which is still less than the standard 90. In addition, the role of the alumni of Study Program IP UMY is good but the documentation of alumni activities is still lacking. So that this needs to be done to revitalize alumni activities regularly. Through this monitoring and evaluation activity, it is expected that the UMY Government Science Study Program Strategic Performance Indicator will be able to achieve strategic performance targets that have been planned beforehand. (Vd/As)
