KOMAP: The Study "Peeling Behind the Dark Side of Women" is expected to Minimize the Level of Violence and Harassment among Women

Wednesday, March 28, 2018. KOMAP held a study with the theme “Peeling Behind the Dark Side of Women”. The study which was held in Faculty Room of UMY Building 1st floor of UMY was attended by three outstanding presenters in fighting for women’s rights, namely Martanti Endah Lestari, M. Hum or often called Mba Tata from Rekso Dyah Utami NGO, Faizah Nadela students and women activists, and Ane Permatasari, S.IP., MA Lecturer of Department of Government Affairs and Administration as well as women’s rights fighter. In this event was attended by representatives from the Secretary Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY Muhammad Eko Atmojo, S.IP., M.IP, KOMAP committee, Student of Fisipol UMY, and Student outside UMY. The study began at 13.30 s.d 16.00 WIB with the opening speech of the Secretary Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY, remarks from the Chairman of KOMAP Nanang Yulia Pranata, continued to welcome the chairman of the committee Delila Putri Sadayi.
Then the presentation of the first review material presented by Faizah Nadela about the history and achievements of women from time to time, then continued with material presentation from Tata Mba that describes related data and reality cases of violence experienced by women, and the last material submitted by Mrs. Ane who combined the first and second presentation speakers. The data shown by the second and third speakers are quite surprising indicates that the cases of violence, abuse of women each year has increased. The second speaker, Tata Mba shows the reality of cases of violence against women not only domestic violence, but also the rampant harassment and rape due to promiscuity and other factors experienced by adolescent girls and even toddlers were also a victim.
After the presentation of the material from the three speakers which then proceed with the discussion. The results of the Women’s study with the theme “Peeling Behind the Dark Side of Women” is expected to educate women to control themselves, to be able to keep themselves from men who are not responsible, but it can also be a pioneer fighters women’s rights so as not to be abused and humiliated in order to minimize the level of violence and harassment among women.
