Yogyakarta – (30/10) Symbolically, the Rector of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P officially opened the 3rd Journal of Government and Politics – International Conference (JGP-IC) 2018.
A total of 120 people, both participants, presenters, invited guests and students attended the event held in the 4th Floor Amphitheater Room of UMY Integrated Campus Postgraduate Building.
In the event with the theme Trends in Politics and Government dealing with the Sustainable Development Goals, speakers from Indonesia and abroad such as Rachmawati Husein, MCP, Ph.D (Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, Indonesia), Prof. Madya Dr. Halimah binti Abdul Manaf (Universiti Utara Malaysia), Dr. PB Anand (University of Bradford, UK), Dr. Andreas Ufen (Giga Hamburg, Germany), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pradtana Yossucuk (Maejo University, Thailand), and Prof. Siddharth Chandra (Michigan State University, USA).
Dr. phil. Ridho Alhamdi, MA as Chief Executive 3rd JGP-IC said in his remarks that this event is a facility provided for participants, presenters, invited guests and students to be able to interact and explain the results of their research directly.
“This activity is a facility provided for participants, invited guests and students to discuss, interact and explain their research directly,” said Ridho.
Then the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UMY Dr. Titin Purwaningsih, S.IP., M.Sc, appreciated the 3rd JGP-IC event. In his remarks, Titin expressed his happiness at the implementation of this international conference, because this event is our real step (Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY) to strengthen itself as one of the Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY that can compete internationally.
Meanwhile, as many as 46 presenters from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, Germany, and America presented their research results in a parallel class session.
“The hope of the implementation of the 3rd JGP-IC event is to provide good relations, especially with countries directly involved in the success of the flagship event of this Government Science Study Program,” Ridho added. (Faisal / Angga).
