Dr. Titin Purwaningsih, S.IP, in his speech said that the awareness that must be built to fight corruption is from each individual. “Fighting the crime of corruption must begin with the awareness of each individual first. If indeed it is felt that the individual has an awareness of certain acts of corruption will be minimized by itself, “said the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UMY.
“Corruption is an extraordinary crime”, said the sentence by Alexander when presenting material about the accountability of village development. Considering corruption is an action that can result in major losses to the state or society and cause panic, anxiety, or extraordinary fear to the community.
The astonishing facts related to corruption are also presented by Alexander. “The perpetrators of criminal acts of corruption that occurred in Indonesia were ranked first by members of the DPR and DPRD, which is very unfortunate when the DPR and DPRD are expected to be able to represent the aspirations of the people instead of being involved in corruption cases,” he said.
Then the man who was born in Klaten, Central Java 51 years ago added the results of the analysis of the KPK in 2018 there were 250 cases of corruption which were overwhelmed by members of the DPR and DPRD, as many as 198 cases, echelon officials as many as 188 cases, as many as 84 corruption cases.
Whereas in village financial management, there are still many problems that must be overcome. “The use of the Village Fund is not clear in its direction, this is because the village head and village officials do not fully understand the concept of money follows function which is the main benchmark for wise use of the Village Fund”, added Suswanta.
Closing the discussion session, Alexander Marwata appealed to all village heads and their officials to always prioritize the interests of the community. “Leave the practice of enriching yourself prioritizing the interests of the community,” added the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK-RI.
