One of the focuses that will be done jointly between the Department of Government Affairs and Administration UMY and the KPK in the field of mentoring Village Fund management with integrity. As revealed by Dr. Suswanta M.Si “The current village burden is very heavy, since the existence of village funds. Villages become busier than usual, Village Funds with a sizeable range of 800 million to 1.2 billion in each village that must be spent in one year of the budget become a serious problem for most villages in Indonesia, then the regulations also become more complicated with a mechanism that is also difficult at the village level, given that the human resources owned by the village have not yet been fulfilled and so on, so that ultimately the misuse of funds that end up in crime is very common to the village head in Indonesia, “he said.
According to Ginting, this is indeed one of the problems faced by the KPK at this time, because, considering the number of villages that must be monitored, the available resources are very limited, he concluded. With this collaboration, it is hoped that later on, it will be able to provide understanding to the villages about Village Fund management and prevention of corruption and encourage more transparent and accountable management of village funds to all parties. (Abi)
