Alumni of Departmen Government Affairs and Administration UMY Have the Opportunity to Become Unimuda Sorong Lecturers

Yogyakarta – Education University of Muhammadiyah (Unimuda) Sorong which was attended by the Rector Dr. Rustamadji, M.Si paid a visit to the Universitas of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). The visit was also attended by Eko Priyo Purnomo, S.IP., M.Res., M.Sc., Ph.D as Head of the UMY International Cooperation and Affairs Institute, Prof. Dr. Siswoyo Haryono, M.M as Deputy Director of Academic Affairs at UMY Postgraduate Program, and Dr. M. Nurul Yamin, M.Sc as Deputy Director of Resources and Student Affairs of UMY Postgraduate Program.
During his visit to the UMY Postgraduate Program, the Chancellor of Unimuda Sorong said that UMY graduates were very likely to become lecturers at Unimuda Sorong which was once the Muhammadiyah Sorong College of Teacher Training and Education (STKIP).
“Unimuda Sorong is a transformation from STKIP Muhammadiyah Sorong. “It has a young spirit that you want to grow through quality teaching staff,” said Rustamadji. The purpose of the visit which was held on Wednesday (1/16) at the Meeting Room of the UMY Campus 1st Floor Postgraduate Director Integrated Campus was a form of open recruitment for UMY graduates to join as lecturers at Unimuda Sorong.
“Unimuda Sorong is interested in opening a Government Science, International Relations and Management Study Program, therefore we prioritize graduates from the Government of Science Masters (MIP), Masters in International Relations (MIHI), and Master of Management (MM) UMY as lecturers at Unimuda Sorong , “Added Rustamadji.
Related to Unimuda Sorong’s interest in opening Government Science Study Program, graduates of Government Affairs and Administrations Program UMY (S1) and those who have completed their studies in Government Affairs and Administrations Masters Program UMY (S2) have a great opportunity to develop their academic careers at Unimuda Sorong.
“With the existence of the MoU between UMY and Unimuda Sorong, it is very possible to clarify the graduates of UMY to develop their academic careers at the Muhammadiyah Union campus,” Yamin said. In addition, the Deputy Director of the UMY Postgraduate Program in Resources and Student Affairs said that after the MoU between UMY and Unimuda Sorong, the distance between Yogyakarta and Sorong West Papua was no longer far away, he said in a joking tone. With another meaning after this MoU, between UMY and Unimuda Sorong each committed to transfer academics who were of high quality and have high enthusiasm to increasingly practice the business charity of Persyarikatan (Muhammadiyah) in the field of education.
